Pace of play contributes to every golfer enjoying their round of golf.

Here at Palm Meadows, we encourage the practice of READY GOLF to keep the field moving efficiently around the course.

PACE OF PLAY TIPS

• Your position in the field is relative to the group in front not the group behind.
• Shorter hitters should always play FIRST whether it be from the tee or fairway.
• DO NOT play honours on the tee unless in an official match play competition.
• Hit your shot before helping someone look for a lost ball.
• If you hit your shot offline watch where it goes CAREFULLY.
• Assess your next shot while another player is preparing and executing their shot.
• Putt out even if you are not the furthest from the hole.
• Play your shot as quickly as possible from when you arrive to your ball.
• If you are falling behind the group in front, the first two players to complete the hole should proceed to the next hole and play their tee shots, instead of waiting for the other players to putt out.

If you are asked to speed up more than once during your round and you are still unable to catchup, you will be asked to skip a hole by the course marshal.

SLOW PLAY is the responsibility of the group so please do not be offended if you are asked to speed up or skip a hole by the course marshal as he is only trying to keep the PACE OF PLAY flowing so that EVERY GOLFER on the course can enjoy their round.
